Welcome St. Columbkille parents, students, and family!
This year our faculty and staff began our school year with our annual retreat, focusing on the how we can be the light for our students and our community. We discussed how we will strive to help our students reach their full potential and share God’s love with each student. Please join us and be a light for all!
We begin this year with some exciting changes. This school year, I am excited to welcome our new junior high science and 5th grade homeroom teacher, Ms. Nivea Alvarez, our 3rd grade teacher, Ms. Noelle Herrera, and our Americorp volunteers, Shirley De Leon and Lizeth Viscaya. We have integrated the 5th grade into our junior high, and we are beginning to set up our science lab. We received a preliminary grant from the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur last spring, and have been blessed to receive a second grant from the sisters this fall! These changes help us to lead us closer to our vision to make St. Columbkille a high performance, Christ-centered school that provides students with equitable and strong educational programs to prepare them to be future leaders in all areas, including Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).
I cannot thank enough all the parents who have helped us over the summer and those who continue to help throughout the year. Parents built the shade structure next to our TK, painted our fence, cleaned our school, worked as room parents, and have accomplished so much more.
We look forward to a great 2016-2017 year at St. Columbkille School.
