Letter from Distinguished Alumni, David Gomez
|
Dear Friends,
Hello. My name is David Gomez and I have accepted the position of Chairman of the St. Columbkille Alumni Association.
I graduated from St. Columbkille School in 1954 and some time ago returned to assist the school and its students as a way of honoring my Mother's memory. It is also a means of repaying all the kindnesses our family received from the Sisters of Notre Dame as well as the parish priests. It is for this reason that my Mom loved St. Columbkille and why I share her sentiments.
St. Columbkille School is now in its 87th year of continuous service to the community. The school is still a vibrant, safe environment for learning. It is still nurtured by the Sisters of Notre Dame and lay teachers who share a love of children and education. Their tradition of service is still the hallmark but our assistance and support is a necessary complement to their efforts.
Consider joining our Association and playing a part in strengthening the legacy of caring, education and service that we received. I cannot do this job alone but I know it needs to be done. Your life experiences are valuable and we could benefit from them as well as your suggestions. Sincerely,
